Rim ceos stepping down

  • Research In Motion Ltd. co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis are stepping down, the Wall Street Journal reports. Reuters adds that Thorsten Heins, a former Siemens executive, took over as RIM CEO on Saturday.

  • TORONTO — BlackBerry maker Research in Motion's co-CEOs, Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis, announced Sunday they are stepping down from the once-iconic company that has struggled to compete in recent years.

  • But is it too little too late? Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis told The Wall Street Journal they will be stepping down as co-CEOs on Monday and handing over the reins to Thorsten Heins, RIM's (NASDAQ:RIMM)  chief operating officer.
