Pg&e fined

  • SAN FRANCISCO — State regulators plan to fine Pacific Gas Electric Co. $16.8 million for failing to perform gas leak surveys in the wake of a deadly pipeline explosion in a San Francisco suburb in 2010.

  • Exercising new powers to penalize utility companies following the deadly 2010 San Bruno disaster, state regulators on Friday fined PGE nearly $16.8 million for failing to check for leaks in several miles of East Bay natural gas pipelines.
