  • Then, the Yankees signed right-hander Hiroki Kuroda to a one-year contract reportedly worth $10 million. Think of Pineda, who turns 23 next week, as the right-handed complement to Sabathia.

  • On Friday, reports surfaced that the Yankees signed former Dodgers starter Hiroki Kuroda to a one-year deal worth $10 million, along with bonuses. But general manager Brian Cashman wasnt done.

  • In addition, another person familiar with the agreement told the AP the Yankees had reached a deal with free agent pitcher Hiroki Kuroda on a $10 million contract for one season. The 36-year-old righty was 13-16 with a 3.07 ERA for the Dodgers last season.
