Storing bananas

  • While bananas look resilient, they're actually quite fragile and care should be taken when storing them. Choose bananas based on how quickly you'll use them.

  • Add ½ cup of blueberries, bananas, or chocolate chips or a few dashes of cinnamon. You can have the dry mix at the ready by mixing it up ahead of time and storing in a cool, dry place for up to three months.

  • By using fruit such as bananas to sweeten, at least you get some nutrient value otherwise you run the risk of explosions.
