America's got talent

  • NBC's "America's Got Talent" returned to Austin, Texas Tuesday for a second round of auditions that included a "Goth" opera singer, a mind reader and a promising vocal duo.

  • 060512_americas_got_talentHave you ever wondered what Marilyn would sound like as an opera singer? 'AGT' has your answer.
  • (omg! on Yahoo!)
  • Last night, tonights episode was hyped as containing the audition that well all be talking about tomorrow. Thats a lot of energy dedicated to Americas Got Talent, at least in my life.

  • Lulu, a pleasantly plump pole dancer from Hanover, Md., made quite the splash last night on Americas Got Talent, shimmying and writhing up her pole and eventually landing in a jaw-dropping split.

  • Americas Got Talent rode into Austin, Texas -- on a steer, in Howie Mandels case -- for what it promised would be the most dangerous auditions of all time.
  • (Los Angeles Times)
  • SOOOOOO, TIMOTHY POE. Last night I posted the heart-rending story of the stuttering country singer's experience in Afghanistan that left him with a broken back and a speech impediment.
  • (Houston Chronicle)
  • This week, AGT made some bold statements straight out of the gate, promising the most dangerous acts yet -- and even giving us a sneak peek at an ambulance. So was Austin, Texas, the daredevil stop we were led to believe? Yes and no.
  • (YAHOO!)
  • He's the J.R. Martinez of AGT. Injured war hero Tim Poe emerged as the act to beat this season as Americas Got Talent rolled into Austin, Texas, Monday night.

  • Everything may be bigger in Texas, but it was a small, humble boy from San Antonio who wowed the "Americas Got Talent" judges at Austin auditions. Its the first of two, variety-packed Texas shows coming from Austin; the second airs at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
