Seamus romney

  • Seattle TV host Nancy Guppy arrived on Thursday at a red carpet soiree, stuffed into a dog kennel attached to the roof of a car.
  • (Huffington Post)
  • The book, written by satirists Bruce Kluger and David Slavin and illustrated by Colleen Clapp, recounts the now-infamous vacation in which Romney admitted to having traveled with the family dog, Seamus, in a cage atop the car.
  • (Politico.com)
  • And it has the potential to become as searing as the 2007 Boston Globe story that disclosed how Romney put his family's dog, Seamus, on the roof of a station wagon on a long drive to Canada.
  • (ABC News)
  • The Romney family's now-deceased Irish setter Seamus' story is being cemented in history in a 64-page satirical book, Dog on the Roof, set to be released June 19.

  • Romney then informs us that Seamus was "most comfortable" in his vehicular crate.
  • (Boston Globe)
  • That certainly sounds like a way to exert authority. On family trips in the early 1980s, Mitt Romney routinely put his dog Seamus in an enclosed, vented crate strapped to the roof of the family car.
  • (The Boston Globe)
  • Instead he said he regretted it with the attention its received.
  • (Denver Post)
  • I suppose that poor humiliated kid should be happy that he was not tied onto the roof of Mitt's station wagon and taken for a 500-mile road trip north while suffering from intestinal distress like poor Old Seamus, the beloved Romney family dog.
