Jefferson county fire

  • The Jefferson County Sheriffs Department has no reports of any lost homes or injuries as of 7:40 p.m., when the fire was located a half mile east of Reynolds Park headed west and northwest, according to fire officials. At about 8:15 p.m.

  • Jefferson County sheriffs spokesman Mark Techmeyer said its not clear how many houses have been destroyed. We do know that some homes have been lost, he said. I have no word on injuries or any of that.

  • A wildfire was reported in the area of Grapevine Rd. and Sawmill Rd. in Jefferson County. One report indicated the fire had quickly grown to about 30 acres. Smoke could be seen from several miles away.
