  • (CNN)-- On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court takes on a political, social, economic and medical hot potato: the health care reform law that was signed into law two years ago.

  • The biggest story in politics Monday is not on the GOP campaign trail. It is not at the White House, and it is not in the U.S. Capitol. Its across the street from the capitol in the Supreme Court building.

  • In February 2009, Michael Zucker told a group of high-paid surgeons something they did not want to hear: The way they earned a salary was about to change.

  • Opening day in the health care cases has arrived. The line to get into the Supreme Court for a glimpse of the action started on Friday and now stretches around the block. Opposing protesters are picketing along the First Street sidewalk.

  • On the other, it would still make the law's fate seem uncertain, and likely extend the national debate around the Affordable Care Act.

  • Its all come down to this day. All the passion, politics and propaganda.

  • For decades, Americans have identified health care reform as a national priority. Two years ago, President Obama worked with Congress to pass a landmark overhaul, something numerous other Presidents had tried and failed to do.
