Animal photos

  • This was certainly a good week for dog news. Friday was World Puppy Day, an event celebrating the magic of puppies and raising awareness for orphaned and abused dogs around the world.

  • Donald Trumps sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, are under investigation in Zimbabwe to determine if their hunting trip -- which made news when photos of the guys posing with dead animals surfaced last week -- was actually legal.

  • Deepak Chopra presented the annual Genesis Awards' prestigious Wyler Award via video from New York to Ian Somerhalder, star of the hit series The Vampire Diaries, for spreading the word about critical animal issues via both traditional and social media platforms.
